The chapter Cropplan contains the following subchapters:
3.1 Fields and Beds
Open the field overview by clicking on Fields and beds in the main menu. Here you can create and edit your cultivated areas (fields = plots/plots of land). In addition, the farm areas can be assigned the records of the cultivation plan.
The functions at the top left of the field navigation bar are (from left to right):
- Refresh to manually apply changes to fields/beds
- Expand/collapse everything (show/hide beds of all fields and plots)
- Excel export of all fields: Export your field views to an Excel spreadsheet
- Lock drag and drop: The lock button locks drag and drop for the sets planned on beds (avoids unintentional moving of sets when scrolling on touchscreens (tablet/smartphone))
- Filter “Patches and beds”: Show the sets planned on the plots using “color display” by crop color, plant family color, planning status (currently on the beds/no longer on the beds), variety assigned (yes/no), plot planning status (partially or completely planned on plots). For a better overview in the field list, filter your fields by name and with the help of assigned #tags. Please note: Color display is not a filter in the strict sense. If the color display is changed, the filter is not actively displayed and the display is not reset to the crop color by “Reset filter” (please do this manually in the Color display drop-down menu).
Field overview – Fields, plots and beds: To display your farm’s area distribution in detail in the program, you can create the areas using several plan sizes (field, plot, bed). The field can be divided into plots. Fields and plots contain beds that are planted with sets.
Create field: Click on “+ Create field” to create a new field. It is displayed as a line in the field overview, with name, total bed meter length, how many plots and beds the field comprises, bed, path and total area. The area dimensions of the field are defined by the creation of beds. Before beds are planned, the area of the field = 0m². If 6 beds with a length of 30 m and a width of 1.2 m are planned, as shown in the example image on the field (01 Am Fluss), the bed meters and area dimensions shown result.
Create a plot: To create a new plot in the field, click on the field name and then on +Create plot at the bottom right. If only one plot has been created, it will take up the entire field area; for additional plots, any partial area can be created on the field by creating new beds. This logic is useful so that no already planned beds in a field are lost when they are assigned to one or more plots.
If parcels have been created, these are displayed with an underline in front of the name in the field overview (and in selection menus) (see __02 On the river in the image). You can hide/show plots by clicking on the line of the parent plot. The number of beds as well as bed and path area dimensions are also shown for plots.
Moving fields/plots: Left-click and hold the button on the three dots on the far left to move a field to another field, where it is subordinated as a plot. In the same way, the parcel of a field can be subordinated to another field. A plot can also be converted into a field by clicking on the up arrow “Turn plot into field” in the top right of the plot sidebar.
Show beds: If beds have been created on a field or plot, they are displayed in the rows below by clicking on the field or plot line (in the area below the calendar). To expand or collapse a field/plot with beds, click on the row (below the calendar week fields).
Field/plot details options: Click on the name to open the field/plot sidebar. To close, click the small X at the top right.
The plot sidebar is structured in exactly the same way as the field sidebar, with the addition of “Plot” under the name and the option “Turn plot into field”.
„Turn Plot into Field“
Field/Parcel-Excel-Export: Click to create an Excel export of the field/parcel
Delete field/plot: Click the trash can icon and confirm the deletion of the area
Details Tab
Edit field/plot details:
In the “Details” tab, you will find the Edit field and Beds sections.
Field section:
Enter the name of the plot in the “Designation” field. Select whether it is an open field or greenhouse area and change the path width if it differs from the standard path width.
Edit beds section:
Create beds: Enter the number of beds and their dimensions. Then click on “Create beds”. By repeating the bed creation process, further beds with any dimensions can be added to the field. In this way, you can also create beds for non-rectangular areas. (To display beds in the field table, the field/plot must be open. To open it, click on the row of a field/plot, or click on “Expand/collapse all” at the top).
Delete beds: Click the drop-down arrow on the right and select the relevant beds. Click on “Delete selected beds”. Beds can only be deleted if no sets are planned on them (all years are taken into account!).
Tasks Tab
Tasks on the field: Create the tasks for the field or individual beds here (e.g. tasks such as soil cultivation, crop protection, fertilization or irrigation that apply to the entire area or several beds).
Notes & #Tags Tab
Notes on the shot: Use the notes function for shot documentation during the season. Simply click in the input field and make a note; the notes are automatically saved when you leave the field.
Entered notes are displayed in the field overview line behind the field information for the area.
#Tags: Enter #tags with which the area is to be marked (tagged). Select from already created #tags or click in the input field and confirm with the Enter key to create a #tag.
Beds
Open bed view: To do this, click on a line in the field list. If beds have been created in the field, they are now displayed line by line in the bed overview. As soon as a field contains plots, beds can only be created on the plots. The bed number/bed name and the bed length are shown in brackets to the left of the bed. Crop sets are displayed in their planned period as colored bars on the bed. If there is a time overlap between sets planned on a bed, the displayed bar thickness is halved and the sets are displayed one above the other in a row.
Open bed details: Click on the bed number/name (in the bed row on the far left) to open the bed details sidebar. Here you can rename beds, change bed dimensions (length/width.
The bed occupancy appears below the bed data. It shows the months and calendar weeks on the X-axis. The left-hand column shows the bed meters line by line from top to bottom. The planting sets are displayed in color in the cultivation period on the bed. To close the bed detail view, click on the bed line or on the small X in the top right-hand corner.
In the illustration, bed 1 (length 30m) contains a perennial lettuce set until the end of April, followed by a tomato set from May to the end of September and a baby leaf lettuce set from the beginning of October, each from the first meter of the bed. The bed is fully occupied with all sets, as these exceed the total length of the bed (for lamb’s lettuce and tomato, this can be seen from the set bar at the top: 30 meters each of 638 and 266 meters of total set length. There is one week between the end of tomato cultivation and planting the baby leaf.
Simultaneous sets or mixed crops: When planning several sets with overlapping times or mixed crops on the bed, the crops are shown stacked on top of each other in the bed detail view.
Bed layout with planned sets
Select +“Plan sets on beds” to open the sidebar, which contains a list of all sets not yet planned on beds, sorted by weeks (KW) and years. It is also possible to create sets that have not yet been planned and plan them directly on the plots. To do this, open the field/plot to be planned, click +“Create sets” at the bottom right and drag the desired crop from the Create sets sidebar onto the bed. If several sets have been created, those not planned directly on the area can be found under “Plan sets on beds”.
The search field and filter (top) can be used to search and narrow down the list of sets as long as the sidebar is open. The X at the top right closes the sidebar, so that the filter applies to the field view again.
Plan sets on beds:
There are two ways to plan a set from the set list onto the area:
- Drag & drop (open the field/plot and drag the set to the desired bed)
How does drag and drop work? Hold the mouse pointer over the block (colored box in the “Plan blocks on beds” sidebar) and drag it to the desired bed while holding down the left mouse button. Release the mouse button there.
- At the top of the sidebar, select Field/Parcel, Start bed & Position, then click on Set.
To plan the set with a click, you must first select the field or plot (with two underscores in front of the name) in the “Field” field. Beds are then set. Before clicking on the set, always make sure that the correct field is selected. If a field contains plots, you can only select beds on it; the field then no longer has any beds.
Enter the starting bed, position and planning direction directly under the field/plot selection. By default, “plan forwards” is selected, switch to backwards if you want to plan the set from back to front on one or more beds. If the length of the set exceeds the length of the bed, planning will automatically continue on the following bed (depending on the direction selected before or after), provided there is a bed there. Single bed/with manual set length: If you only want to plan one bed, deactivate “Continue planning on subsequent beds” by clicking on the slider. To plan a manual length, activate “Assign planning length manually” and enter the length under “Planning length”.
Set list – Edit sets and add beds: The list shows all planned planting sets that are not yet assigned to a bed and parts of sets that are left over from a partially bed planning. Hold the mouse pointer over the set to display an overview of the data. Clicking on the magnifying glass opens the sidebar with the data of the set.
Clicking on the trash can
- deletes the set completely from the cultivation plan (if it is not yet planned on beds)
- deletes only the remaining length (if part of the set is already planned on an area)
A yellow warning triangle indicates missing information, e.g. no bed meters. An attempt to plan the set on a bed fails and a message appears.
Solution: Click on the magnifying glass icon to open the record details, where the missing data (input fields outlined in yellow) can be added. After editing the set, either drag & drop the set to the desired bed in the “Cultivation information” section of the set sidebar or close the sidebar with the X at the top right and continue the bed assignment with +“Plan sets on beds”.
Filtering sets for the bed assignment: Click on the “funnel” symbol (in the navigation bar at the top next to search field), to open the filter view.
Here you can sort the list of sets by calendar week and display a selection of sets by time period (filterCW), crops, type of crop, plant family and #tags.
The “Subsequent sets from field” filter is helpful for the cultivation rotation: It shows all sets that were created as a copy from the previous year’s sets of the selected field/plot. For example, 12 lettuce sets were grown on the “Tunnel1” field in the previous year. The entire cultivation plan from the previous year was copied to the current season in the cultivation calendar using the “Copy sets to new year” option. With the “Follow-up sets from field” filter for the “Tunnel1” field, the sidebar then displays the 12 lettuce sets for the current season. These can now be planned for a new area.
You can close the filter by clicking on the green X at the top right.
The filter appears in light green as long as it is active. To reset the filter and restore the standard view, click on “Reset filter” in the filter section below.
Please note: There are two “Responsibilities” of the filter in the Fields and Beds app section. The first filter in the “Fields and Beds” tab belongs to the fields table. Assigned to the sidebar “Schedule sets on beds”, the second filter is only active when the sidebar is open. If filter options in one of the tabs and the other area is opened or closed, the filter is displayed as inactive (dark green).
Editing sets planned on fields:
By clicking with the right mouse button on the centrally displayed culture name of a sentence bar, a menu with options for editing sentences opens. You can use the magnifying glass to call up the record details sidebar, remove the record from the bed/field/all fields or delete the entire record.
By removing it from the bed/field/all fields, the set reappears in the set list and can be scheduled on a new area. The lowest option deletes the set completely from the cultivation planning!
Moving the set on the bed: If set dates change due to weather conditions, for example, the set in question can be moved to the correct week on the bed using drag and drop. To do this, click on the sentence bar and hold down the mouse button. Now drag the record bar in the same row to the desired calendar week. All details and dates of the record are automatically adjusted. The shift is carried out synchronously in the cultivation calendar.
Moving the set to another bed: If you want to move a set to another bed, you can also do this using drag and drop. Click on the set, hold the mouse button and drag the set to the intended bed row. Release the mouse button there.
Move across fields: Open the corresponding beds, then drag the set from the bed of one bed to the bed of the other bed. (If a set is planned on many beds that are all to be moved, the set can also be removed “from the field” and planned again on the other field via the “Plan sets on beds” sidebar).
Move parcel to field/convert parcel to field: A complete parcel planned with records can be moved to another field using drag and drop (change applies to all years!). To do this, click on the three dots on the far left in the field/parcel line, hold down the mouse button and drag the parcel to the desired field. To convert a parcel into a field, open the parcel details sidebar and click on the up arrow button “Turn parcel into field” next to the parcel name.
3.2 Crop-Calendar
Call up the crop calendar in the graphical view by clicking on the menu item of the same name in the main menu. The current year is displayed by default. Click on the selection arrows of the year switcher (top centre) to select previous or subsequent years.
The cultivation calendar options can be found at the top:
- ‘Update’ to manually apply changes to planned sets
- ‘Undo”: Undo a recently performed action.
- ‘Edit sets’ opens the sidebar to carry out actions for several sets. To do this, the sets must be selected with a tick on the left.
- Excel-Export: The sidebar contains the cultivation calendar Excel export button.
- The lock symbol can be used to block drag and drop in the cultivation calendar to prevent the planned sets from being moved accidentally (touchscreen devices!).
- Search and filter at the top right can be used to narrow down the contents of the cultivation calendar. The current display can be exported to Excel. Please note: The sidebar ‘Create records’ has an additional integrated search field!
In the calendar display, the current month and week are highlighted in light green. Click on the calendar week (KW) to open the calendar week statistics.
Create Sets:
Click on +Create sets at the bottom right.
The ‘Create sets’ sidebar appears.
Sets: To plan the planting of your crops over the year, (crop) sets are created in the crop plan. Only one set needs to be created for some crops (e.g. oat root), as this is a special crop on the farm that should only appear once in the farm shop or the subscription box as a variety supplement. Another example would be a storage crop that only needs to be harvested once and is then sold from storage. However, most crops should produce a continuous harvest over a longer seasonal period. Planning in ‘sets’ is traditionally the method of choice in vegetable growing. With the crop planner, this time-consuming task can be quickly converted into a clear plan.
Carry out set planning: Sets can be planned either by drag & drop or by clicking on ‘+Create sets’ button on the right-hand side of one of the crop cards.
Drag & drop:
Click on the culture card for which records are to be planned and, holding down the left mouse button, drag it to the calendar week column in which the first record is to start.
Click on ‘+Create records’ in the culture card: The planning date must first be selected in the sidebar at the top.
Please note: If no period is defined for a crop in planning mode Cultivation period, the map is blocked for planning. Then switch to the crop (click on the crop name in the crop map), set the cultivation period in the cultivation period area with +add and click on the ‘back’ arrow in the browser to return to the create records sidebar. There, set the plan mode back to cultivation period. You can now plan.
The three planning modes:
- Number of sets
- Cultivation period
- Last harvest
Number of sets planning mode: Enter how many sets you want to plan under ‘Number of new sets’ below.
Planning mode Cultivation period: Plan according to a cultivation window defined for the crop. If no cultivation period has yet been added to a crop, no period is specified on the crop card and the Create sets button/drag & drop is deactivated (in the Asia lettuce example).
Last harvest planning mode: Planning of sets by specifying the start date of the first set and the end date (last harvest day) of the last set.
Harvest connection or weeks in between option: The ‘Harvest connection’ option must be specified for all planning modes if more than one set is to be planned. Harvest connection means that the end of the harvest of the first set is planned as the start of the harvest of the second set (the harvest duration in weeks is used as the interval so that continuous harvesting of the crop is possible).
Alternatively, select ‘Number of weeks between’ and enter the time interval between the harvests of the sets in weeks manually.
Sets are displayed in the cultivation calendar as coloured bars in one row each. The crop and variety names of the sets are shown on the left.
Depending on the selected cultivation type, the bar of a set is displayed in one colour without gradation (only young plant cultivation for sale), with two (no-till cultivation/young plant purchase and harvest) or three brightness levels (for cultivation, planting and harvest).
These time periods visualise how the set is cultivated and in which period. -> See Cultivation types of sets under 3.3 Sets below
In the example shown, 5 sets of baby leaf sets with harvest connection were planned. The first shows only two periods (medium-light and darker green on the right), as the first young plants are bought in. The other sets are planned with ‘own cultivation’. The cultivation time is shown with the light-coloured left-hand area of five weeks (2nd + 3rd set) and then four weeks (4th + 5th) set. The first own cultivation therefore starts in February in week 8 for set 2. The first planting will start with set 1 in week 12 and with this set also the first harvest in week 16. If everything goes according to plan during cultivation, the Baby Leaf lettuce will be available continuously from week 16 to 25 thanks to the harvest connection.
Once the cultivation plan is complete, the cultivation calendar view shows the plan with all sets for the year shown in the navigation bar.
Individual sets can be selected and edited by ticking the boxes on the far left.
3.3 Sets
The planting sets are generated from the crop master data and the Set-details sidebar therefore has a similar structure to the sidebar for the associated crop.
However, there are some important differences: In the set, a specific plan with a defined period is to be calculated from the crop data from a defined area or harvest quantity to be achieved. Various tasks are to be carried out during the cultivation period and the harvest is to be recorded and managed.
Sets data: Clicking on the name of the set or the coloured set bar (only in the crop calendar) opens the sidebar with the current set data. You can view and add to this data here and change them. By clicking on another record bar, the sidebar switches to the data of the newly selected record. Click on the green X at the top right to close the sidebar.
The sidebar shows the set name at the top left. This consists of the name of the crop and, if assigned, a variety name, followed by the set number. Below the set name is the plant family of the crop, if maintained on the crop.
To the right of this, the actions (from left to right: delete set, copy set to next year, create copy with harvest connection and just copy) can be carried out for this set.
Recommendation: Switch between culture master data and set data: Click on the culture name as a link to the culture master data and back with the back arrow of your browser.
Edit set data
The sidebar contains four tabs: ‘Details’, ‘Tasks’, ‘Notes & #Tags’ and ‘Inventory change’. The ‘Details’ tab contains the set data. All tasks linked to the set are listed under ‘Tasks’ and new tasks can be created there. In ‘Notes & #Tags’ you can document important information about the set and store and delete #tags. The ‘Stock change’ tab shows the stock movement (inputs, outputs, rejects) of the set, rejects can be removed with the ‘Delete remainder’ option.
The sidebar with the data of a set is divided into six areas. All of them can be opened/closed with ‘Expand all’/Collapse all’ or separately by clicking on individual areas.
Details Tab
Cultivation times section:
Under Cultivation times, the start time of the cultivation/direct sowing or planting (depending on the cultivation type of the set), start date of the harvest and harvest duration in weeks are specified.
Cultivation information section:
Cultivation information: Here, the programme automatically calculates the number of plants and bed metres required for the harvest quantity and delivery weeks from the cultivation information in the set. The data can also be entered manually. Depending on whether an exact quantity requirement is already known, the automatic calculation may make more sense. When planning from an area, the bed metres of the area can be entered manually or by “default bed length” selection (see below).
A click on the calculator triggers the automatic calculation and replaces the manual input (number of plants/bed metres)! If the automatic calculation is active, the calculator appears in green.
Enter number of plants or bed metres manually: If required, enter the number of plants or bed metres manually when creating a set or for sets that have already been created. The calculator symbol on the right is then displayed in yellow. The input field with the manual value is outlined in blue. Hold the mouse pointer over the input field to display the calculation path.
Select standard bed length: Click and select half, whole or multiples of the standard bed length in the drop-down menu. In the example farm, the bed length stored under Farm/Area parameters (default) is 50m. To create a set for two beds, 2x bed length is therefore selected in the drop-down menu. This calculates the set size for 100 bed metres.
You can plan the edited set directly on a bed using drag & drop rest planning (click on Rest of planning bar to open fields & beds).
If the desired area does not appear immediately, place the set back in its starting position in the sidebar and open the area. By selecting the field or the plot on which the set is to be planned, you can then assign it to one or more beds using drag & drop, depending on the size of the set.
If the set has already been planned on the field, the planned beds appear in the set sidebar below the ‘Bed meters’ input field. Click on the green field name to open the field view and the trash can bin to remove the set from the bed.
Harvest information section:
Harvest quantities must be entered for one-time harvesting ‘Single harvest’ and ‘per m²’ with the required harvest quantity per week (for farm type ‘CSA’ per share and week). When harvesting crops with area-harvest ‘per m²’ or recurring yields ‘per plant and week’, the expected harvest quantity per week must be specified in addition to the required quantity. The expected quantity is the estimated average yield per plant or per square metre that can be harvested in a week.
Harvesting methods: How is the crop harvested?
‘Single harvest’ is set for a crop that can only be harvested once (e.g. lettuce, head cabbage – the whole plant is harvested and then gone), only the unit “piece” can be selected here!
‘Per m²’: lamb’s lettuce is harvested with ‘per square metre’ (harvest unit piece or weight unit).
‘Per plant and week’: this harvest method applies to crops that are harvested several times with a time gap in between (e.g. fruit vegetables tomato, cucumber, pumpkin).
Difference in delivery weeks:
The ‘single’ harvest methods described above (single harvest and per m²), depict a crop that is harvested further and further on the area per harvest week. This is suitable for freshly marketed crops, but does not take into account the special cases that
– some fresh crops, e.g. baby leaf lettuce or rocket, are harvested several times on the same area, or
– for crops intended for storage, a much larger harvest quantity must be calculated than just for the harvest weeks. For example, an area of potatoes is harvested in one week in autumn and stored in large crates. Now the potatoes are to be distributed to subscription customers every two to three weeks until well into next year.
You can use the option ‘diff. in delivery weeks’ to enter a number of delivery weeks that will be taken into account in the plant quantity calculation instead of the harvest duration in weeks entered under crop times.
Cut or storage harvest: A selection must be made for the deviating delivery weeks as to whether it is a cut or storage harvest.
If the set is switched to Cut, the planned delivery weeks are overwritten and the delivery weeks are defined within the harvest weeks of the set, i.e. if necessary, increase the harvest period by entering a higher number of harvest weeks in order to be able to select more cut weeks out of a larger time period.
Cut crop: Crops that can be harvested (cut) several times (e.g. rocket, baby leaf or Asian lettuce) and are marketed fresh.
For example, the cut crop stands on the bed for 5 weeks and is cut in the first and fifth week, i.e. the set has 5 harvest weeks but is only delivered in two weeks. As the same plants are harvested twice from the same area, an additional number of plants is not calculated for each harvest week as is usually the case.
Storage crop: Crops that can be stored for a long time and are marketed from storage over a long period of time (e.g. stored cabbage, root vegetables or potatoes). The harvest takes place in one or two weeks and the entire crop is stored. Deliveries are then made over the entire storage period. An additional number of plants is calculated for each selected delivery week.Kartoffeln).
Additional harvest quantity: The additional harvest quantity option is only available for the ‘SoLawi’ operating system. This allows a fixed harvest quantity per week to be planned in addition to the SoLawi quantity (calculated from the member shares per week).
‘Plant spacing’ section:
The planting distances information includes the spacing in the crop row, the spacing between rows and the number of rows on the bed.
Details section:
The variety selection allows you to assign one of the stored varieties to the set. If a variety is selected, a query appears asking whether variety-specific data should be transferred. If cultivation times are stored for the variety that differ from the times already planned for the crop, a shift of the set must be taken into account in the crop plan.
The crop type can also be selected depending on whether the crop is sown, grown on the farm, purchased or grown for seedling sale.
The security margin is given as a percentage safety margin for the estimated loss during the cultivation period. This is added to the total number of plants (less loss) when calculating the number of plants (e.g. 10% = calculated number of plants + 10%).
Germination rate: If the cultivation type ‘own cultivation’ is selected, the germination rate of the seed must also be specified in % (e.g. 70% (of seedlings will survive)).
Transplants/Starts information section:
Cultivation information: For sets with cultivation type ‘nursery’ or ‘transplants for sale’, the standard size of the multi-pot plates and the number of seeds per multi-pot must be specified. For example, for lamb’s lettuce in a 4-pot press pot (150 per box), 150 EPT/multi-pot plate (if not available under farm/area parameters) should be created, selected and specified with 5 or 7 seeds per pot. For potted crops (e.g. basil), multi-pot plate size = 1 can be created, selected and specified as e.g. 10 seeds per pot.
For the transplants-purchase cultivation type, the number of plants per box should be entered in order to be able to call up the number of boxes in the set, in tasks of the set and in the transplants order.
Tasks Tab
The Tasks tab lists the tasks of the crop associated with the set, which are stored in the task templates of the crop. In addition to the self-created tasks, the Sowing and planting or Growing and planting tasks are displayed, which the programme automatically creates from the set cultivation times in the templates. These cannot be deleted, are always displayed and lead to a complete shift in the planning of the set if they are postponed.
Create and edit a task: Click on +Create new task at the bottom right to open the task editing window in the sidebar.
The top left of the window contains an arrow that can be used to switch back to the task tab of the record. Task options are displayed to the right of the task date and name. The complete button is used to tick off the task (mark as ‘completed’). You can delete (self-created) tasks with the ‘rubbish bin’ button. Click to the right to copy the task. Click the green X on the far right to close the sidebar.
In the ‘Copy data from template’ selection menu, task templates can be selected as the data basis for the new task. The tasks activated as ‘is default value’ in the culture templates are displayed in the upper area.
When entering the first characters of a task name in the ‘Type’ field, suggestions are also displayed which can then be selected. The designations ‘Plant protection’ and ‘Fertilisation’ should be used for these tasks, as additional input fields are then displayed for the product name and application rate.
If the appropriate template is not included, enter the name of the new task in the ‘Type’ field. Select a colour and whether it is a relative (relative to a date in the record) or absolute date (select date yourself).
Team member: One or more responsible persons can be specified under Employee. The first person selected is displayed slightly larger and their name is also shown in the task overview.
If desired, a time target can be entered under Work hours/minutes. However, the time can also be recorded during the execution of the task using the mobile app (see chapter 9) or entered afterwards by the employee or the responsible person in the desktop app (under Team/time registration or time registration manager).
In the ‘Notes’ field of the task, you can also enter specifications or data to be logged during/after completion.
An overview of the assigned set is displayed below the notes field. This data can also be viewed in the mobile app at the task (e.g. to check briefly in the field how many seedling boxes, which planting distance, which beds…).
Notes and #Tags Tab
Notes field: Click in the field to create an entry. The field saves automatically.
Create/assign #Tags: By clicking on an existing #tag (light green, above the input field), you assign it to the sentence. A new #Tag is created by entering it and confirming with Enter.
Any #Tags already assigned to the sentence are displayed in dark green below the input field and can be deleted by clicking on the small X to the right of the name.
Harvest recording Tab
The harvested quantities of the set can be documented in the Harvest recording tab. The harvest date is selected and the harvest quantity entered using the smartphone in the mobile app or directly on the set.
Option Harvest recording with conversion kg to pieces: If the option is activated (in the user menu under Settings), an average weight per fruit must be entered for piece crops. The weights per harvest and the total weight of the complete set harvest are calculated from this and displayed in the harvest quantity table below and under Statistics/Yields. The fields are omitted for crops that are harvested by weight.
Select variety: If (as in the example of aubergine 1) no variety has yet been assigned to the set, one of the varieties stored for the crop can be selected for the current harvest quantity in the ‘Variety’ drop-down menu. This makes it possible to record the harvest of several varieties in one set. The harvest table below is then divided into varieties with the respective harvest quantities.
Select the harvested bed under Bed.
3.4 Spreadsheet
The crop plan can be opened and edited here in a tabular view.
All edits correspond to those described under 3.2 Crop calendar and 3.3 Sets. In the same way, clicking on a set name opens the set detail sidebar. This also remains open across all areas when switching between different areas of the application.
Editing multiple sets using ‘…Edit sets’ and the filter work in the same way as in the graphical crop calendar (see also 3.6 Edit crop plan).
One difference is the Excel export of the crop plan in the ‘Edit sets’ menu. While a filtered or reorganised view is also displayed in the export in the crop calendar area, the export in the table view is always the complete cultivation plan.
Click ‘Select columns’ to open the sidebar. ‘Now select which table columns should be displayed/hidden (from €35/month).
3.5 Edit crop plan
Edit multiple sets: Different sets can be selected and deselected in the graphical overview using the checkboxes on the far left of the lines. By holding down the Shift key, you can deselect/select several rows of sets below each other. The top box unmarks/marks all sets that are currently displayed in the graphical or spreadsheet calendar view.
Moving sets and crop time changes via drag and drop:
Moving sets in time: To move, click on a coloured set bar, hold down the left mouse button and move the set to the desired calendar week to the left or right. All culture periods of the set are automatically adjusted. Please ensure that you click in the middle of a colour field to avoid inadvertently changing the cultivation periods (nursery period, cultivation period, harvest period).
Change culture times of sets: The cultivation time sections of a set can also be changed using drag and drop. To do this, hold the mouse pointer over the transition area of two colour fields (the illustration shows markings at the points where the change to the growing, cultivation and harvesting time of the set can be applied).
